Who had the biggest crowd? The AFL celeb. match or Last nights NFL State of Origin match?

The NFL stated they had 67,620 at last nights match between NSW & Qld - whwereas the AFL claimed they had almost 70,000 at their 150 year celeb match.

The NFL play these games three times a year whereas ther celeb match is played every 150 years!!!!!!!!!!! What does that tell ytou. And when someone says they had 'almost' 70,000 - well, that means closeer to 50,000 - doesn't it.?

The NRL of course. They stated an exact number. The AFL stated "almost 70,000'' & we all know that means it's been exaggerated to such an extent that there was probably only about 50,0000 there!

anyway the AFL match had more,and AFL crowds for the last 2 seasons looks like this compared to an embarrassing NRL

2007-AFL 185 GAMES FOR 7,050945 ATTENDING

2007-NRL 205 GAMES FOR 3,549,126 ATTENDING

2006-AFL 176 GAMES FOR 6,204056 ATTENDING

2006-NRL 180 GAMES FOR 2,808235 ATTENDING

also in the past 2 grand finals the crowd numbers have been as follows 2007-97,302    2006-97,531 and in 10 years the crowds for AFL grand finals have only been below 91,000 twice with a 10 year high of 99,645 in 1997 and the all time record at 120,000+ in 1979 Carlton v collingwood when there was more standing room at the MCG.

mate your attendances are an embarrassment as a spectator sport and a joke to all AFL followers.

state of origin is your bread and butter the premier event and that's all you can manage 67,620 where as the AFL Vic v the who ever's still topped it,but just take note of our granny this year and the whole lead up with grand final parade etc and you'll see how to put on a good show.

The AFL  did have the bigger of the two crowds.

......but it does cause one to wonder. NRL State of Origin matches are played every year & they bring big crowds every game.

They even play them at the MCG now!!!
