Who had the idea for the Obama seal and why did Obama actually use it?

Does anyone else find that a little disturbing? I saw a you tube video of his speech with the seal below him, and something struck me odd about the whole thing.

I agree with Brooke, I think the seal is great. It's modern, It shows you Obama's mentality is young and fresh, not like old childish McRambo who still lives in WWII.

I thought it extremely bad taste.  It was attempt, I assume by a staff member, to make him look presidential.

Got to earn the seal first.

I think the seal is great.  It's modern, has the letter "O" in it, has the USA colors in it (but mostly blue for him being a Democrat), and has a peaceful, new quality about it.  I think it's perfect.  Whoever designed it did a great job.  It's much better than those traditional campaign bumper sticker type logos.

What is even worse is how Obama replaced the flag from his plane with the Obama seal.

Extremely bad taste,you must first gain the office and no we do not want our seal changed.If he doesn't like it he should not be running for President.
