I am interested in purchasing the Samsung Instinct, offered by Sprint but I am weary of whether the coverage and service will be acceptable or not. Anyone who has Sprint, please share your experience! Please include the city you live in. I am particularly interested in hearing the experiences of people who have Sprint in Chicago. Thank you!

-If you are just looking for 2 points, I will give your answer a low rating. Come on, grow the F up and stop wasting peoples time with your numb skulled responses.-

  1. I have Sprint, though I live nowhere near you. Have you looked on their map to see your area? Most cell phone companies have a map showing if certain areas get service. I'm not thrilled with the service, but I've had it for a while and it's cheaper to keep it than to switch. I believe it's also a bit cheaper than some other providers. I have had problems with their phones/service in the past though. I've had phones that turned on and off for no reason, or would have full battery and die soon after. And they're not always willing to help, unless you're willing to pay quite a bit. If your phone breaks you're going to need to either have it mailed out (long & expensive) or buy a new phone (very expensive). And if you want a new phone before your 2 year contract is up you have to pay the outright price, switching at 1 year is 1/2 the normal price. I also have a lot of trouble with service in my house, though we are situated in a lower area of a very mountainous region. It's not uncommon for me to have to walk around my yard looking for service.

They're definitely not the worst or most expensive company out there so don't get me wrong. I'm just telling you things I've found throughout the 5-6 years I've been with them. I would say look around, and don't pick a company based on a phone. If you end up wanting to change plans you're going to have to wait 2 years and then switch to a new company, or pay ridiculous cancellation fees. And remember, you're going to be stuck with that phone for that long too, unless you have the money to buy a $200 phone whenever you'd like. If you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me. Hope I could help!

  2. my cousin had sprint and the service was horrible (she lived in florida) the service may be better or worse depending on where you live but she stopped the service and finally joined at&t

  3. I have Sprint and I love it. I do a lot of traveling so my cell phone is very important to me. I have found that my phone service works really well in larger cities and towns. Some smaller, rural areas are a little sketchy when it comes to service, but if you don't plan on traveling to the farmlands of Nebraska or some other undevelop area, I would highly reccomend Sprint  I live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, but I am attending school in Lincoln, Nebraska right now. My service is great in both places. I have also been to New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Orlando, Jamaica, and several other places in which my service was also great.

  4. Ive had Sprint for the last 6 years, I live in Cleveland. The service is great but customer service SUCKS! My sister had the instinct and she hated because it constantly called people and the screen kept freezing up.  Hope this helps.
