How much fun is it?! I'm thinking of buying it because it looks like heaps of fun, but I don't want to buy it to discover it's kind of lame. What would be a reasonable price to pay (in Australia) for the bundle of the console, game and the controllers? Also does anyone have Wii Fit and what is it like?

  1. I'm gonna get it. But I really don't see a point in getting it. I'm only getting it because it's part of a deal.

  2. I have the sports pack and think that i shouldnt havegot it becaus, there just little cheap thing to put your Wiimote in, but if you like having more accesorys, its your choice. And I just got the normal Wii pacage for $389 (it was on speacial) and then got the other wiimote, nunchuks etc. seperatly, its all up to you..

  3. It is 250 american dollars. im not sure about australia. or i may be an idiot and you pay the same money. oh well. wii sports is a starter pack. not fun like legend of zelda or resident evil, but a good way to kick off the console. it introduces you to the controls, much like wii play.

  4. For a while I belonged to HomeScan and you built points for scanning what you bought. You buy items with the points you build up. I used mine to get the Sports pack and wasted my points. At least it was not money I wasted.

Not only does the remote have to have batteries, so does the tennis racket. After trying to use it I didn't even try the rest of the stuff. I'll probably put it all in a garage sale this fall.

  5. i have the wii sports pack and i think its kind of pointless...

it doesnt make any difference to how you play or how fun it is, in my opinion.

  6. The Wii Sports Pack makes no difference in the gameplay to Wii Sports. It's a waste of money because the only item that does anything is the tennis raquet which only lights up at the top which is pointless. Some people say it makes the game seem more realistic. I disagree. The only thing it's good for is to make your collection look a little more impressive.

About time I saw a question asked about Australia. The regular bundle which includes the Wii console, one Wiimote with Nunchuk and usually a cheap game like Carnival Games or Wii Play (Wii Sports is also included) you would be looking at about 400 to 420 bucks. Sometimes it will come with a carry case or some other low budget addition which doesn't really make any difference to the price. Maybe about a 10 buck gain. Each game should be about 100 bucks and each Wiimote should be about 70 bucks.

Wii Fit isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sure, it makes you lose a propaution of your body mass but not much. It makes you look pretty stupid just standing on a board waving your arms at a screen. There are far better games to get than Wii Fit. If you are going to buy it just because it makes you lose weight, then you are better off going to the gym. It's cheaper and more effective.
