  1. Not just the camera--it's the lens. And for $200 will only get a clear filter for each lens, I am afraid.

    Canon 135 mm f 2 (about $1,000).

    Canon 24-70 mm f 2.8 (about $1,100)

A point and shoot will not do this.

  2. Most photos of concerts and gigs were taken using a DSLR (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax).  These allow you to change lenses whenever necessary.  Lenses often used for this purpose are the fast ones, those with f2.8-f1.2 apertures.

I don't think you can get one for $200 (probably used - on ebay).

Popular models are the Canon Rebel XSi and the Nikon D40x.

  3. asked the same thing recently. Everyone was unanimous(sp?) in telling me to purchase a canon(including the sales clerk). So i bought a 250$ canon. I really like it and it has tons of options but for 250$ i think i coulda got something nicer. Its a great camera but you have to program it differently for all different situations. I prefer the ones that auto adapt..hope that helped
