  1. You didn't say that you have read any of J.R.R. Tolkien's works on your list, so those would have to be my suggestion for you.  Seeing that you like fantasy, Tolkien's books would be perfect - The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy are truly timeless tales in the fantasy genre.  I read The Hobbit as a young teenager and it has since then been one of my favorite books; it contains unique characters and storylines, and it also has adventure after adventure.  Following that is The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which also contains truly excellent characters, plot, and so forth.  If you are a true fan of fantasy, then I suggest you at least give Tolkien's works a try...they are certainly worth the read.

    Best wishes!

  2. i say read the house of night series by pc.cast

it bout a vampire finishing school

  3. If you're about 15 or younger you should check out A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters and An Acceptable Time.

If you're 16 or older and you haven't read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy you should check them out.  They're classics for a good reason.

If you're at least 21 you might like Dark Lover and the rest of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series but it's definatly a series for adults only.  Also the Outlander series is amazing but only for adult readers.

  4. the host [:

ive also read the whole twilight saga, i LOVED it, so i picked up the host by Stephenie Meyer and i thought it was pretty awesome. xD

  5. okay, I was like you...obsessed with fantasy and I gave sci-fi a chance and now I really enjoy some sci-fi, you may like the following sci-fi books:

Tomorrow when the war began - John Marsden (this is in a series named 'the tomorrow series, young adult, speculatibe fiction)

Spy High - A.J. Butcher (really good, this is a series of 12 books split up into 2 series' young adult, speculative fiction)

CHERUB - Robert Muchamore (series of 11 books [so far] and still going, lamely written and cliche but really interesting and totally addictive)

Maximum Ride - James Patterson (not very original but still very good series of 4 books and still going, theres going to be a movie of it soon too =] in a couple of years though =[ its basically another, kids get powers, have no family and saves the world type series, yet stil very...very...VERY! good series)

  6. I used to, but Twilight is making me think twice about the future of books.

Edit: I don't think you understand. Twilight is garbage. Stop giving me thumbs-up, you insolent morons.

  8. Children of the Lamp -- P.B Kerr

Alex Rider Series -- Anthony Horowitz

  9. Artemis Fowl!

  13. I suppose I do.

Though I don't really like Twilight either. Though I don't know quite if I agree with the frighteningly blunt veracity of others' comments on it. The book did something unique for the vampire genre but as a peice of fiction it has no real substance and generally flat characters. As I've said before, its like candy floss, tastes great but isn't really that good for you.

    Onto the actual answer:

I would suggest JRR Tolkien, if you haven't already gotten into those. They're fine pieces of literature and still really enjoyable.

Ray Bradbury rights some fun sci-fi/fantasy pieces. I really love his collection of short stories "I Sing the Body Electric".

The Pendragon Series is a fun collection of young adult fantasy written by screenwriter DJ MacHale. Start with "The Merchant of Death" and head from there.

I'm afraid that's all I can think of.

  14. You will LOVE these, it has the fantasy of HP and Eragon, and some of the romance of Twilight(but much better) :

The Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray are great books.

1st book- A Great and Terrible Beauty

    2nd book- Rebel Angels

3rd book- The Sweet Far Thing

These books have a variety of different themes intertwined-fantasy,romance, and action.

Here's Libba Bray's website that will tell you about the books:
