Who has a sidekick phone???

Question

how is it. i plan on gettin 1 and i want to no if it is a good phone. i no this isnt the catagory it is supposed to be in but i ut in on here any way

It all depends. I myself own a sidekick Lx.  A Sidekick can be a great phone or a great burden. If you use Aim, Yahoo, and Windows live messenger often this is a phone for you. As was said earlier, your phone comes with an unlimited data plan. You get unlimited text and web browser. This will set you back $20 on top of whatever plan you choose to go with. The data plan is pretty much required to get any use of the phone. The new update released recently was kind of a let down. It lets you record 20 secs of subsequently low quality video and audio. You can't directly access youtube off the phone and have to go through a slightly annoying conversion process to get any  outside videos or movies to play on the phone. Keep in mind the web browser runs on T-mobile's edge network. This is roughly 3-4 times faster than standard dial-up. The edge network at times will go down region-wide for a time anywhere between 10 mins to an hour or more frequently. All in all its a decent phone. Texting is where its at, but don't expect much from the web browser, video playback, or music player as you can with other phones.

i have a blue sidekick lx. it's great. i gotta warn you, its addicting. it's like a little computer. you can go aim and chat with your friends. the plan you get with a sidekick phone gives you unlimited text messaging. it's an overall great phone. especially now with the new update you can do so much more. you can take picture, record, pretty much anything. if you're a teenager, it's deff. go! lol

my friend has one and she says hers is really annoying because sometimes it like will turn off then reset itself. i dont know if thats just hers or if its all of them.

I used to have one.

Pros and cons of it

Pros:easy to text and IM on, listen to music, check email

Cons: bulky, slow and unconvientient internet

It's a good phone, I would consider for myself getting the new one.

But make sure you would use a lot of the features, or else it is a waste.
