Who has been in the eye of a hurricane?

I live in miami fl and remember been in the eye of hurricane wilma and it was the creepiest thing ever.

i lived in miami and i saw after that the center ever went over miami,florida it went somewhere near west palm beach and i remember wen the weather calmed down it calmed down forever

I was a child in NYC when Gloria's eye passed over in '85.  It is kinda weird to be windy and very rainy...then calm and quiet for about 20 minutes...then the end of the world again.

Yeah, it's creepy.  It gets so calm, but it's not peaceful because you know the other half is coming, and it'll be even more powerful.
