  1. My physics sir:)

  2. well, GOd and my mum always come first for me......

then comes  Rashi ma'am. she was our english literature teacher in 9th and 10th grade....and i cherish those english lectures. I always used to eagerly wait for the english class to start. She was the best english teacher we ever had, she possessed a great knowledge of the subject.........gave us more knowledge than the syllabus bound english.

taught us new words....new phrases, every day.The way she used to speak english....so fluently...inspired us all to learn from her......she motivated us all to read books...suggested us some really good books...nd even lent her books to us!! Besides, the teaching part...she was always like a motherly figure for me...i always used to feel secure in her presence.....just like i  feel in my mom's!.....many times, i just spoke out all my feelings to her, my problems everything.....and she pacified me so well.......she is the wife of an army offcer.....so she had to leave the school an year back on account of her husband's tranfer. and we were so upset.......although she didnt teach the 11th grade students.....but we always wanted her besides us......on her last day of school...when she came to bid us farewell....i saw tears sparkling in her beautiful eyes......don't know what happened to me...i started crying....she came and hugged me and pampered me like anything....she even said that we will be in touch....and she left for somework....and didnt return....when the bell rang..me and my friend went out for some work....and we saw she was sitting in the staffroom with her face buried in her hands......and then i realised....she was crying....i was sooo touched....i just wanted to go in..and hug her....thank her for the memorable time she had spent with us....the new way of living life..she had taught us....but my emotions choked me....paralysed me.....i couldn't go....back home, i wished....i could have told her.....i wished like h**l....then i made a farewell card...and wrote down all my feelings...i got a small photo frame for her...and pasted the snap of me n my classwith her....but i knew she wasnt gonna come the next day....still i put that card & gift in my bag....and i prayed....that she would come......and i was amazed the next day....!!!! she had been callled by the school authorities for some formalities ...i went to her...and gave the gift n card...She said"no akshi dear, i will surely take the card, but not the gift, i can;t take it"

i was ready for it...i knew in our school teacher are not allowed to accept gifts from students.....i was ready with a full fledged spech.....i mustered courage to speak......i felt as if she could see my tries to bring my words out....but only one word came out..."ma'am please..."

she took it...and again a tear fell down her cheek....and she hugged me.and kissed me......she said"i am gonna miss u dear"....i said" me too" the words came easy now.......

now she has left...and i miss her like helll....i wish...i truly wish..i meet her.....!

sorry for the long answer.....but aaah! my own answer made me cry.....brought back all the memories...

  3. I had a math teacher in 8th grade named Mr. Mingo. He was a short man with large bulging eyes (he suffered from glaucoma). I did not like math much, but I had to study since my parents valued high grades. Mr. Mingo's class was not the high math class, and one day he took me aside and said that I did not belong in his class, that I was too smart for the group I was in. He also said that I was destined for greater things. I wanted to run from him when he talked to me. I was very shy when it came to teachers, but what he said stuck with me. Now, over 35 years later, I have a masters in education and I find myself telling students the same things Mr. Mingo told me. I like inspiring people to reach their potential as he inspired me.

  20. my mother

  21. My son he has been the teacher all life to me.

  22. Other than my bro, who's my best friend, there's another teacher i respect a lot.

Mrs. Deepti, she was our Class teacher in 8th grade. She wasn't just a teacher, but a friend who would listen to all of our problems,we could say just anything to her...

She remains one of the few teachers who paid special attention to every kid in the class...and the first one to help me come out of my shell and open up to people.

She recognised my talent and praised it ,but never failed to teach me whenever i was wrong.

She intrusted me with the responsibility of the class incharge and i was most unwilling to do it,but she just said,"you can just try it dear.quit if you don't like it"

    It was a challenge...surely:)

but the results it brought were awesome.I threw the shy girl tag..

Our class also won the most disciplined class award,of course monitors kept changing, but i too was one,so,thori khushi to hoti hai na yaar ;)

She taught me science the way it should be,we were doing class 10th level practicals in 8th,and it's because of her that chapters like "light", "electricity" appeal to me.

well, that's the study aspect, but her moral science classes were great too.We would come up and speak out our feelings and she would guide us wherever possible.

She's one of the few teachers who we students respect automatically. It just comes from our heart.

and she was really caring towards students.

We had a class trip to Amritsar that year and i had refused to go there because of being there so many times before, she told me that it's a different thing to go with friends,an of course, jab maa'm ne kaha tha,to mana kaise karti?

The day we came back, she addressed the question directly to me,asking me how the trip went....and i told her honestly that it hadn't been quite good. She just smiled  and said,"i was worried about this and that's why didn't come to the school when you guys had come back yesterday"

    lol

and she has taught me to be down to earth, forget a thing called ego..These aren't just big words,it's true that she changed me completely.

She's a really beautiful person, both goodlooking and from within,is married into one of the richest families here, but never does she show a trace of arrogance.

so,to sum it all,she has taught me to care for others, listen to their problems, offer a helping hand to them,be practical,be good, honest,to take up challanges and respect others....and yes,be down to earth.

I've changed schools this year but i'l still be wishing her on Teacher's Day,like always :)

Thanks for the question!brought sweet memories!
