Which contestants, winners or not, have been the most successful because of the competition? Has the show made any actual top models?

  1. I would say Eva Pickford. She has been modeling and acting. I don't agree with others who say Adrienne Curry. She tossed the modeling and when to reality tv, that's not success just wanting fame! She's a joke and someone else deserved to win her season... but who am I to judge.

  2. ehhh I think Adrianne Curry's gotten the most publicity out of all the models so far.

  3. Um I think Eva The Diva, Ya Ya and DDanielle :)

  4. I would have to give this one to Adrianne Curry.  She may not be recognized by Tyra as one of the models, however, you see many ads with her, and her program with Chris Knight has made her very recognizable.

  5. I think alot of the models from ANTM are working more overseas than in the states. I'm not 100% sure because I know that some have runway shows like in LA and NY for Fashion week(s).....

The thing is...most of these girls end up doing more than modeling. I know Yoanna has a show on TV right now...and Eva Pigford is currently on Y & R (daytime soap on CBS)

The only one I know for sure that is working steadily in another country is Elyse Sewell.....she is working in Japan....

  6. Adrianne Curry has definitely gotten work, but some of the most successful models from ANTM weren't the winners, and while the winners certainly get publicity for a while, as soon as their CoverGirl contracts are up, a lot of them only live off their fame, which most major modeling industries generally don't take seriously.

Elyse Sewell from Cycle 1 is very successful as a model, primarily in Asia. Samantha Francis from Cycle 8 also does a lot of modeling in Asia. Cycle 6's Mollie Sue Steenis-Gondi also does a lot of work, and has worked with some very prominent photographers. Cycle 7's Megg Morales is surprisingly prolific as well.

Of the ANTM winners, probably the most successful as a model is Jaslene Gonzalez or Dani Evans, but most of the winners have gotten some sort of publicity... especially Adrianne Curry on reality shows and Yoanna House on The Look for Less and The-N's Queen Bees. CariDee English does get invited to a lot of parties and is a spokesperson for the Psoriasis Foundation, but doesn't do a lot of actual modeling. Check my source, the person who puts together that gallery is amazing and continues to compile an amazing gallery of pre- and post-show modeling of all the ANTM girls!

  7. i would say Adrianne Curry first since we are still seeing her face all the time but than again tyra does not consider her part of the show after there beef.

she was reportedly due to Curry criticizing Top Model and Tyra Banks for not delivering the promised prizes she won. Banks then retaliated by removing Curry from the show. Curry also stated that Banks was fake, claiming the supermodel was the nicest person in the world when the camera was on, but once it wasn't she became "Naomi Campbell in your face." Curry apologized for the comments she made, but Banks continues to shun her

than i would say Yoanna House  this is her new show

  8. Ya-Ya

  9. I don't think any have achieved top model status, but I think Eva has done the best for herself.  She's been in videos and is now on Young and the Restless with a recurring role and is doing quite nicely.

YaYa is on All my children, but her acting just doesn't seem quite right.

  10. Ya-Ya DaCosta (cycle 1) had signed with Ford models and modeled for Olay, Target Isaac Mizrahi, Kohl's, etc. before turning to acting... she was in the movie Take the Lead and was recently cast in "All My Children" with a regular role.

Elyse Sewell (cycle 1) actually has a very successful international modeling career... and is one of the most successful runway and editorial models from ANTM. She has worked a lot in fashion weeks and shows throughout Asia. She has also written a book about her life as a model.

Mollie Sue Steenis-Gondi (cycle 6) has also had a very successful runway and editorial career as a high fashion model and has agencies in several countries including, Elite NY, Elite Barcelona, Success Paris, Storm London.

Yoanna House (cycle 2) signed with IMG for a while, but has been more successful in TV. She has hosted two high profile TV shows, had a development deal with the CW and was named the "face of their network, and now hosts the show "Queen Bees" on The N.

Danielle "Dani" Evans (winner, cycle 6) has gone on to a quite successful modeling career. She was one of only 2 winners of ANTM to have her Cover Girl contract renewed, and she received a showcard from her agency for New York fashion week and is the  only one of 2 ANTM alum to receive a showcard out of 129 alumni. She is the spokeswoman for Akademiks clothing line and recently appeared in the Tory Burch line for Saks Fifth Avenue.

Jaslene Gonzalez ( winner, cycle 8) also had her contract with Cover Girl renewed and received a showcard for New York fashion week. She also walked at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2008-09 for Armani Exchange and has spreads in several magazine plus a billboard in Times Square.
