Who has been to the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana)? What resort did you stay at? Did you love it there? Has anyone stayed at the Grand Palladium Resort?

  1. I had a customer stay there a while back, LOVED it!! I would recommend staying fairly close or not leaving the resort but there is plenty to do there. For GREAT deals please go to www.trussvilletravel.com. If you have any questions go to www.ytb.com/trussvilletravel and email me. Hope this helps

  2. I have been there dozens of times, and would never even think of staying in an all-inclusive resort.  They restrict you too much, and I would feel all cooped up.  I usually just book a flight and look for a hotel or house somewhere between Sosua and Cabarete when I arrive.  It is so much more fun outside of those resort places, and you have the advantage of being able to eat better food whenever you want at a location you chose.

  3. Never been there, nor wish to visit.

    Sorry.

I have heard nothing nice about that place.

    :-)

  4. We stayed at an all inclusive in Puerto Plata 5 years ago (can't remember the exact name but it had the name Puerto Plata in it, and was quite nice).  The city is great, but I was not prepared for the culture shock.  I was on my honeymoon, so much went over my head, lol.  My in-laws went to Punta Cana and enjoyed it (sorry, I don't know the name of the resort).  They said it would have been more relaxing, but they both have bad knees and the resort they stayed at had more walking than they wished to do.  I love walking, so have no problems with that.

  5. I just saw a "travel agent" telling people that it is dangerous in Punta Cana or in general in the Dominican Republic... Why on earth must he telling this nonsense? If he is travel agent he must first learn something of his business! Incredible!!!!!

But any way Punta Cana Grand Palladium Resort is one of the many hotels there and it is good but it is Punta Cana, so not much to do outside...

I'm working in hotels so I know.

  6. Many tourist go to the Dominican Republic and each year more and more to Puerto Plata and Punta Cana. Grand Palladium Resort ? must be one of the many hotels on the strip of Punta Cana. Sorry I can't give you more information, I'm a VIP tour operator and only deal with VIP guests in Puerto Plata. But anyway Punta Cana is nice for a relax vacation sun, beach, pool, sun beach,pool...
