I like Leon's on 83 & Cottage Grove in Chatham, Colman's on Cicero just north of lake, on the far south and far east I like Kenny's (85TH & Stoney Island, 116& Halsted), Painted Doll 105& Halsted, A place that has changed names frequently on 43rd street just west of King drive east of El station.

Exsenators' ribs on 159th street......Kenny's used to be good, but now their slab of beef is pretty gross, I hear Leons' is good on 83rd but I haven't been there. Ohh Georges' ribs is great as well.

Cy's Steak and Chophouse is really good for Ribs. (Lincoln and Berteau area)

Also, Chicago RibFest is coming up in a month or so in North Center.

This is a trick question because Chicago has so many great rib joints and each one is unique on how they prepare the ribs.  I would go with Hecky but I am biased since I have them deliver to my house once a week.  Good luck.

Well even though Gale St. Inn is really popular, you'll only enjoy it if you like ribs that are boiled before they are grilled.  I also see that a lot of people included places that are pretty "hood" but still may be good.  Now if you're looking for one of "those" places then you would definitely have to try Lem's on 75th and Prairie.  However, the favorite by far for my husband and I (and anyone else who knows good food) would have to be Carson's Ribs.http://www.ribs.com/
