  1. jersey.

  2. Outer Banks, North Carolina

  3. I would say it would be between Reef Road in Florida and some off shore breaks in Hatteras.  Both during hurricane swells, of course.  Do a search for Outer Banks hurricane swell pictures.  It aint Hawaii but its still pretty damned big.  Last year OBX actually got a nomination for the Billabong XXL.

  4. Rholde Island and Massachucetts, but the best ones are in Florida! but in the West coast.... between Mexico, California, and also Oregon!

  5. Well, I surf here in my hometown, Jupiter, FL, and during the fall and winter seasons, the waves normally average from 7-11 ft.

  6. No pics but I believe many of the mid atlantic states have big waves due to the continental slope's distance from the land and how the depth of the ocean changes.

Anywhere from New Jersey to North Carolina.

Although during the late summer, if there's a hurricane approaching, waves can be huge anywhere from Florida up to Virginia.

  7. virginia beach! hahahahaha jk. probably like hatteras but the ecsc is in vb :)

  8. i just know the east coast

  9. I have been surfing for over 40 years, and most of it on the east coast. But i don't know of any place in the east that has a reputation for being a 'big wave' break. I have been impressed by the size of the waves at Montauk Point Long island in the summer, but I don't know how often they break like that and I never surfed there in the winter, so it might be huge.

New Jersey gets real big in the winter, but usually not much more than just overhead. I have ridden some tropical storm monsters in New Jersey and the Carolinas, but I would have a hard time saying which were the "Biggest" I'm not sure if I would count New England, because a lot of the big surf up there isn't ride-able. The outer banks of N.Carolina has epic surf, sometimes, but like most of the east coast, it tends to be pretty tame in the summer.

I guess if you search surfline.com, you could get a legitimate answer.
