Bill Gates opened the communication to the world.  Mother Theresa worked for God.  What Bill Gates did doesn't even come close.

Bill Gates has helped more people.

Mother Theresa has given more of herself to help people.

I would say if you wanted to know who spent more time helping people, Mother Theresa probably did.

If you considered the amount of people helped, Bill Gates, with his running of Microsoft and his foundation.

After thinking about it, Bill Gates was more effiecent at helping more people, but I must admit, Mother Theresa spent far more time helping people.

I think Bill Gates wins.

Yes, Mother Theresa gave more of herself and was serving God, but those were not the question at hand.

They've both given back to humanity in incredible ways . . it doesn't matter who did more.   God doesn't keep score in that way and neither should humans.

Bill Gate have given out of his abundance; but mother Theresa have give it all, for the sake of humanity.

Mother Teresa worked face to face with individuals.

Apples & oranges.  They both help people, but in VERY different ways.
