you don't have a back up when not in home.(no Friends, you don't know the city, the jobs, the market etc... no backups no background, its taking a big step whit your eyes blind)

i've dont it a few times now. it's always hard to start with. you miss this and that - weird things that you used to take for granted. you have to make new friends, decorate your home... it's tough but it's worth it. you learn so much about yourself that you had no clue about before.

not sure though. i didn't really have dreams as such - in a way i'm probably not your traditional emmigrator (is that a word btw?).

when you do go back home though it's weird cause you have to get used to it again and you get homesick to your new home.

my family has immigrated through 3 countries... whew! it wasn't exactly everything i dreamed of becos i got culture shock every time i moved to a new place and found that in the beginning, i'd always be comparing where i used to be with where i wos now. in the end tho it's made me more of a diverse and accepting person i'd say. it can be hard getting used to somewhere new especally since there are changing customs wherever you go but.... at the same time, you get to meet lots of different people and it can really open your eyes to wots out there.
