  1. depends on the wood if it split temp avg.in the north east 15 to 25 cord 128ft but you burn greenwood you dont have to be picky

  2. My parents have one and there gas bill is never over $60-$70 in the winters of n.e. ohio. They put wood in it in the morning when they go to work and again in the evening after dinner. They light it in november and it never needs re-lit all winter. They buy wood scraps from a sawmill, about 3 truckloads a year at $60 a load. There house is 2 stories and 3400 sq.ft. unit cost almost 4k installed.

  3. Being outdoor, it, of course, depends on the weather and how warm you want it. The colder and winder it is the more fuel you burn.

  4. I have a friend that recently bought one.  It is made of stainless steel and is really cool looking.  It holds about 8 or 9 large pieces of split wood - maybe more.  He said it would save him more than switching to Geico.  Only dorks ask questions about wood.  Dork. . .
