Who has had meningitis?

I had it when i was 7/8 on holiday in Greece.

Couldn't move my neck, look at bright light, eat anything and was constantly sick. Was taken to a contagious desise ward in Athens and got better after a week and insurance flew us home first class. everyone on the outbound plane (monarch i think) had to have tablets in case they got anything from me.

not very nice :( anyone else had it?

yes i had meningitis and give under 2 hours to live but pulled through lost the sight in my right eye which will never return but I am a lot luckier than some people
