Almost all the majors of California has governed more people, dont tell me Alaska is a huge state, she governs the fish and polar bears to?Her experience is no different then the 10,000 majors who have more people to govern..

Obama has 10,000 bills as state senator

and Obama: (some, not all)

Senate Accomplishments:

Since entering the U.S. Senate in January 2005, Senator Obama has written approximately 890 bills and co-sponsored an additional 1096.

Senators Obama and McCain have been running to be the nominee for President for their parties since January 2007. Therefore the 890 bills written by Senator Obama and the 1096 he co-sponsored all occurred in a 2-year span. That shows that he is a prolific and tireless Senator.

Because of the long-drawn-out nature of passing laws in the Senate many of his bills are still in committee and some were vetoed by republicans. Senator Obama has an impressive record by anyone’s standard.

For someone who supposedly has no record (according to his competitors) his record of accomplishments are extraordinarily impressive and inspiring.

· Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act.(This is the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor) Became law

· Secure Fence Act. Authorized construction of fencing and other security improvements along the United States–Mexico border

Became law

· The Lugar–Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act. The Bill expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles and anti-personnel mines Became Law

· The “Coburn–Obama Transparency Act” eliminated gifts of travel on corporate jets by lobbyists to members of Congress and the establishment of USAspending.gov , a web search engine launched in December 2007 and run by the Office of Management and Budget to require lobbyists to disclose the candidates, leadership PACS or political parties for whom they collect or arrange contribution and the combined amount of the contributions Became law

· Amendment to the State Children’s Health Insurance Program providing one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries Passed in Senate

· Energy Policy Act of 2005 to add $200 million for Function 270 (Energy) for the demonstration and monitoring of carbon capture and sequestration technology by the Department of Energy Passed in Senate

· The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (after amendments became the Secure Fence Act which became law) Passed in Senate

· Education Bill. Require that the Director of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education to establish a program to recruit and provide mentors for women and underrepresented minorities who are interested in careers in mathematics, science and engineering. Passed in Senate

· Summer Term Education Program. Supports summer learning opportunities for low-income students in the early grades to lessen summer learning losses that contribute to the achievement gaps separating low-income students from their middle-class peers Passed in Senate

· Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007 a bill to cap troop levels in Iraq, begin phased redeployment, and remove all combat brigades from Iraq before April 2008. Republicans voted against

· Iran Sanctions Enabling Act supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran’s oil and gas industry Republicans voted against

· Sponsored an amendment to the Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges, and calling for an official review following reports that the procedure had been used inappropriately to reduce government costs Republicans voted against

  1. Seeing the Socialist Republic of California is $6 Billion in debt because Californians always want hand outs says alot for that state, greta management.

  2. Sorry Charlie....America and California aren't governed by the military. There are no "majors" who have the experience that a governor has...no colonels, for that matter.

  3. learn to understand some principle conception before accept any suggestion is a great idea. Here is great place to start.http://heath-insurance.tips-free.info/he...

  4. cant expect her to be as smart, that is why she is running for vp.....obama is also racist and a secret muslim, so i do not like him

  5. Well, how many of those "majors" have had to deal directly with foreign governments?  The governor of Alaska, as a regular course of business, has to negotiate with Canada and Russia over oil, trade, fishing rights, transportation.  That gives her more foreign negotiating experience than the top of the Democratic ticket.

  6. Yes, she does govern fish and bears - it's called the Alaska Dept of Fish and Game.

Here, I'll copy and paste some stuff for you:

    --

In all US states, the governor is the chief executive of the state and runs the executive branch of the government. He is the commander-in-chief of the military and is responsible for managing the state budget. Furthermore, the US constitution states that the governor of a state is allowed to fill vacancies in the state's two Senate seats.

Governors also have significant involvement in foreign affairs, especially due to the advent of the Homeland Security Bureau. They must be familiar with security procedures, such as raising the terror alert. In 2004, a small group of governors visited soldiers stationed in Iraq to assess the situation there. Meeting with Iraqi citizens, the governors learned about their views on the American soldiers stationed there.

In addition to international politics, governors have influence within national policy decisions. In 2006, Governors George Pataki and Bob Ehrlich threatened legal action if Dubai Portal World was allowed to enforce security in US ports. These legal actions include canceling state lease agreements at the ports in question.

  7. YEA CALIFORNIA IS SO WELL GOVERNED . . .  YOUR ENERGY IS SO WELL MANAGED YOU CAN BE CERTAIN TO EXPECT A BUNCH OF BROWNOUTS DURING THE COURSE OF THE SUMMER, HAVE THE POWERS THAT BE FIXED THAT LITTLE WATER PROBLEM YOU HAVE YET? OR ARE THEY STILL BUSY GROWING THE TAX BASE BY BUILDING HOMES THERE IS NOT ENOUGH WATER FOR? YEP THATS GOOD GOVERNMENT. DID ARNOLD EVER SOLVE THAT BUDGET PROBLEM OR IS HE STILL CUTTING THE WAGE FOR STATE WORKERS TO THE MINIMUM WAGE BECAUSE HIS BUDGET CANT BE BALANCED . .  . IF I WERE TO SPEND THE TIME I'M CERTAIN THE LIST WOULD GO ON AND ON . . . . THE FACT REMAINS . . . . ITS NOT ABOUT THE QUANTITY OF WORK YOU DO . . . . ITS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE WORK YOU DO . . . . AND WHETHER THE PROPOSALS YOU SET FORTH WILL EFFECT EVERYONE CONCERNED IN A POSITIVE WAY. OBAMA MAY HAVE WROTE A MILLION PIECES OF LEGISLATION FOR ALL I KNOW OR CARE, BUT IF THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY FLAWED, AND THEY DONT GET PASSED . . . THEN ITS NOTHING MORE THAN a*****e . . . .  AS I RECALL WITH A LIMITED TAX BASE, PALIN ACTUALLY HAD A SURPLUS OF TAX MONEY TO REFUND HER CONSTITUENTS AFTER HER BUDGET WAS BALANCED . . . THATS CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN. SPINNING YOUR WHEELS WRITING GARBAGE IS A WASTE OF TIME WHEN YOU COULD BE FINE TUNING A PRODUCTIVE PIECE OF LEGISLATION

  8. 10,000 bills my ***. not in two years. and by your estimates with the bills he's "supposedly" sponsored and cosponsored...assuming he worked every day, which you know he didn't (holidays, vacation perhaps), he would have had to complete about 2.7 bills per day. which i suppose is possible, except you're also including amendments to bills in that statement.

    your information is misleading.

  9. People don't know how little a mayor in the north really does.

They do not prepare a budget. That is the comptrollers job.

About all they do is get to present motions for discussion in the town council meetings and cut ribbons celebrating the opening of new parking lots.

  10. She was chosen because

    #1. She is a woman.

    #2. She is a babe.

#3. She is a life NRA member.
