Who has more homers? Who has more die hards? Red Wings fans, or Pens fans?

I figured since there are so many arguments about whose teams going to beat whose team in the Finals, I might as well start this argument, too.

Homer is from Springfield and Bruce Willis starred in Die Hard.

Both teams have bandwagon fans and dedicated fans alike.

The point is that both teams are the best of the best and will truly battle for the holy grail of hockey. Both teams have TRUE fans whom have been cheering for their team for YEEEARS.... Red Wings are part of the original 6 and Pittsburgh of the "next six"... so they both have LOTS of history behind them. . . and a lot of history to make.

That being said, GO PENS!!!!!!  :)

I don't know about the Detroit Red Wings, but I do know that all Penguin games have been sold out since Crosby and Malkin joined them.

Its kind of hard to differentiate Detroits real fans from there bandwagon fans.  Bandwagoners are the ones who only support the team when they are doing well.  You can see how that might be a problem for Detroit fans as its been a long time since they werent a good team.  I didnt follow the Wings when they sucked, but I was just a kid back then.  The Wings have a strong following and a lot of the fans I talk to seem to know quite a bit, but that doesnt mean they would still support them if they were losing.  Even if you are a bandwagon fan of Detroits, you are going to learn a lot about the game because if you have only followed them when they are winning, that still means you may have been watching them for a long time.

Tangers:  The Presidents Trophy had nothing to do with last years attendance and nothing to do with this years attendance.  Keep in mind that Detroit was tied with Buffalo last year and only lost because of the tie breaker.  Tickets were even more expensive last year because prior to that they never had problems selling them.

the city isn't called hockeytown for no reason, what else do Detroit fans have to look forward to year after year, the lions suck, basketball is g*y, and baseball isn't too major in Detroit

Pens=homers

Pens fans were no where in sight around 5 years ago when the Pens almost went BANKRUPT, but after 5 years of sucking enough to get great draft picks, the pens fans seem to be crawling out from under their rock and pretending that they know everything about hockey.

Well the Wings couldn't come up with enough die hards to sell out their playoff games last year; but they could this year after winning the President's trophy.  What does that tell you?
