I was just wondering, because I'm not really sure what either a CEO or CFO does. So, maybe they are not even related. Answers would be greatly appreciated.

  1. In most companies the CFO reports to the CEO.  The CFO is in charge of the more financial end of the company, and the CEO is usually responsible for the more strategic end of it.  As far as power, I think they are equally important.  Without a good CFO to keep the finances in order, and to keep track of it all, it doesn't matter what the strategic path of the company is they won't have any money.  So, I would say they are both powerful, though usually the CEO gets the credit.

  2. CEO has more rank.. He/she is the Chief Executive Officer. The CFO has a lot of rank too, but he/she are just the Chief Financial Officer.

  3. CEO (Chief Executive Officer) has more power...

    CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

  4. CEO does. They take over a large cooperation and make lots of $$$$. they also make important discussions on the cooperation.

  5. i'm  not sure... but i would say the cEo because E before F in the alphabet

  6. CEO, CFO's handle finances, CEO's run the whole company.

  7. CEO has more power. They are in charge of the executive operations of the company and normally only answer to the Board of Directors. The CFO is normally only in charge of the Financial operations of a company and are directly under their boss -the CEO.
