E.D. Hill of Fox News teased for a segment about the Obama fist jab:

HILL: A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? The gesture everyone seems to interpret differently. We'll show you some interesting body communication and find out what it really says.

She says "Terrorist fist jab" with a lot of speculation. She later apologized saying, "I didn't mean to associate the word 'terrorist' in any way with Obama or his wife." She had read it when researching blogs on the topic. It was not smart to say.

However, as bad as her comment was, the rest of the media misrepresented her. In the Google News section all of the headlines and summaries say HILL LABELED IT A TERRORIST FIST JAB. Almost all of the articles do not include the full quote but only the phrase, "terrorist fist jab."

I just watched an ABC news story that was totally dedicated to defending every allegation against Ms. Obama. She doesn't seem like a bad lady but you can tell who the media are for.

  1. They are all for them selfs and the money they make.

if a bad story sells an add thats a money maker

  2. Fox was founded with the expressed goal of being so outrageously biassed to the right that they would make the rest of the mass media (also right-biassed) look leftist.  They have obviously succeeded with you.

Politically, the US has a choice between Right and Extreme Right.

  3. Don't believe anyone without scrutinizing everything first.

All you can do is weigh up eyewitness reports, what their motives might be, the factors involved, and then evaluate probabilities.

Remember:  Unless an event can be factually proved, it is just a rumour.
