Who has or is trying to become a radiology technologist?

I am trying to find out how long it took, once your prerequisites were completed, to be accepted into the 2 year radiology Tech program?

1. Step1Study life sciences such as biology and chemistry, mathematics, and Health and Physical Education in High School.

2. Complete a 1-4 year program in radiography, radiation therapy, or diagnostic medical sonography. The most common courses of study are two years, leading to an Associate's Degree, and provide both classroom and clinical instruction.

3. Pass the registration exam to become a licensed Radiologic Technologist (required in 36 states; preferred in most others). Examinations are offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography and radiation therapy.

4. Advance your career by specializing in MRI, CT scanning, angiography (pictures of the heart), or other clinical area through advanced coursework and clinical experience.

5. Step5Continue your professional development by completing the required 24 hours of continuing education every two years (30 hours every 3 years for ultrasound technicians).

This is going to vary by school, and there's no guarantee you will ever be accepted. I went through a small hospital program. About 200 apply and only 6 get accepted.
