im in the middle of it and i freaking hate it. stupid school projects.

but uh i had a question about the church that was similar and i think hank hates the church beacause like the people bow down to it and pour their souls into it but the church never gives back. yet it is as highly respected as the kings and queens. and the church holds the peoples sins against them and almost forces them to follow it using the sins. the book says the relationship is like a dog loving the stranger who kicks him and a slave loving the owner who whips him. idk if that will help you at all but i tried. and idk about the aristocratic preferment.
