this family move into a old house, which is haunted (they dont know that) .. throughout the movie, the dad changes, becomes quiet, aggressive, and angry. He hears voices in his head.

the mother does research on the house, cause she is seeing and hearing stuff, and her husband ins;t the same man.

she then comes across an article, that the family that were there before them were murdered....by their dad, who said he 'heard voices' telling him to do it.

towards the end of the movie her husband goes crazy, just like the old bloke. can't give away the ending tho! lol

The house is on some old evil, indian burial ground or some believe it was living on h**l itself.

I liked the old amityville horror, better than the new version, but it was still good.

you need to read the book ,it is really good .the movies (ive only seen the original movie from the 80s) adds a bunch of stuff and gets way off from the book and makes it unbelievable,where you believe the book.

The Amityville Horror-A couple,George & Kathy Lutz and their children,move into a house in Amityville.Thirteen months before the Lutz moved in,Ronald DeFeo Jr shot and killed six members of his family in that house.The Lutz begin to experience paranormal events in the house,and flee after living there for only 28 days.

I recomend the remake with Ryan Ryenolds,but the original is good too.

BTW,This story is pure fiction.The DeFeo murders are real,DeFeo is still in prison for the murders,however the paranormal events are fiction.The family that lives there now has experienced no paranormal phenomeon what so ever.
