ABBA because on Wikipedia it says they have sold more than 400million records worldwide and madonna has sold just over 200million.

Madonna is the best selling female artist world wide and recordings spanning several decades, but ABBA also have spanned the decades, enjoyed a come-back in the 90's, and now are big again with the new Movie hit!

I think over-all Madonna maybe has the most record sales, but ABBA is probably ahead on the play time, performance rights, etc?

Interesting one though!
