Who has surprised you the most in Rd1?

Which team played above or below what you expected?

I'm a Bombers fan and expected them to play better than last year but nothing like they did today. It's amazing what difference a bit of pace can make.

I'm a Crows fan and I did not expect the Bombers to win at all. With Essendon's poor performances at Footy Park, its a real surprise. Not to take any thing away from Essendon, but Adelaide was a shocker and the Bombers deserved to win. Good on the Bombers.

bombers were surprising but for me the saints were the shock... even their coach was picking there would not be a win for them till about round 6....

well, without doubt  WCE played a fantastic game, and freo played way  below their ability.  i only got 4 right in the tipping.  so many  away teams won.  here we go again , another season of  impossible tipping decisions...lol.   good luck

Bombers were great but I was really surprised by Port, that was an awesome win in the West......an 8 point game as they say.

The doggies was surprising that they defeated Geelong. And it was ashame that Hawthorn (My team) lost against Brisbane.

im a bombers supporter from way back, although people might think im talkin c**p but i had a feeling that they would win today! they have had a few crappy seasons and it was about time they started to win. we have a fairly young side, hirdy is about to retire and they always seem to do it for hirdy! i thought lloydy would of done a bit better coming back but it was obvisiously scotty lucas' day today! he was just a star! i love it when he was his days like that!

Definitely the Bombers beating Adelaide at Adelaide's home ground. That was awesome! Plus the fact that Scotty Lucas kicked 7 goals!

They were fantastic! I can't describe it much better.

Eagles and Sydney was just like every other eagles n swans game one team gets a good lead the other has a come back and the scores are close.

My mate in Adelaide is sending over the papers cos both Adelaide teams were  surprising, but unsure which the most...Port beating Freo 10 goals in one quarter, or Adelaide losing at AAMI to the Bombers ?????

I was at the Port game and we as Port supporters did not stop barracking.....it was the best match after GF and St Kilda pre-lim EVER...
