McDonald's are still the best of the big three.  There are some smaller chains that have quite good fries, but of those three McD all the way.

Just you...I don't typically eat fast food but do find McDonald's fries are the best.  I haven't found the quality has slipped at all.

McDonald's.   But Wendy's is a close second!  I hate BK fries.  :(  Yes, MD have changed their oil in some locations!  That could be why you've noticed a difference.  Next time you go, ask them if they changed their oil!

Wendy's - because they're fatter.  When McD's and BK start getting cold, they are like chewing rubber.

It is not really a change in the taste of the fries so much as the way they are cooked. McDonald's recently switched to a soy bean oil to try and decrease fat which in turn slightly changes the taste of the fry itself. Oh and by the way Arby's has the best fries.
