I'm particularly interested in places that offer all-u-can-eat, have a good selection and reasonable prices

  1. Okay, the sunday brunch at Rittenhouse is expensive but it's way awesome. Someone online has photos of it. If you are going to eat a ton of food then you might as well get the best since it's bad for your health to eat so much. Why waste your health on garbage? La Croix has a nitrogen station where they make crazy frozen stuff. It's worth the money for the experience.

Morning Glory is gross, if you are right near there go to Fitzwater Cafe for their sunday breakfast menu. It's not all you can eat but it's so nice. The fruit pancakes are great and they give you a lot.

The Mosholu is that boat in the southern end of Penn's Landing and it's supposed to have a good buffet for 30 dollars.

If you aren't totally dedicated to breakfast you might want to try Fogo De Chao because it's awesome. You get all the salad bar you want and it's an incredible experience. I can't believe this salad bar. It has meats and cheeses and all types of vegetables and salad. They have these cheese puff rolls that are incredible. They have sugared plantains, fried polenta, mashed potatoes and they serve you the best meats around, sliced directly on your plate. Make sure you get the finer cuts first like the filet mignon without the bacon, it's the best. Don't be afraid to ask someone to send the guy with the filet mignon over to you. I've seen people accidentally fill up on sausage and chicken thighs because the waiters have a hard time keeping up with the demand.  They have lamb chops and leg of lamb, chicken, sausages, two types of sirloin, prime rib, beef ribs, pork ribs, all in all about 15 types of meats. The food is not on a steam table getting overdone. It's fun to watch the waiters run around in their Gaucho pants with their meat on a sword. The only problem is that they are not open for lunch on weekends. They open at 4:30 on Sat and Sun. But during the week they open for lunch at 11:30 and it's exactly the same as dinner. Lunch is 29 dollars and dinner is 50. 50 dollars for all the filet mignon  you can eat? Unreal.  I can't find a good picture online of their salad bar but it's unbelievable and worth it just for that. I hope you go there if you love all you can eat.  They also have a big bowl of delicious dark chocolate squares at the door on the way out that you can grab.

  2. The absolute best is the Fountain Room in the 4 Seasons hotel. I believe it is the only true 4 star restaruant in Philadelphia, and is quite expensive.

If you are cheap, and looking for a bargin, check out Jimmy's Dine and Dive, or Sal's Slop and Slurp.

  3. The Manayunk Brewery.  Great food, Live jazz, Less than 20 bucks

  4. I agree with The Fountain @ The Four Seasons.

Lacroix's 4 bell rated brunch buffet is phenomenol also. (If you're looking to book for Mother's Day or Graduation at either call AT LEAST 3 months ahead! It fills up very very quickly and you get charged if you decide to no show or cancel at the last minute, because of it's popularity.)

If you're looking to save a few bucks, I would go for Morning Glory. It's not a buffet, but you get SOOOOOO much food, you can have your own little buffet going on. Totally worth the money.

  5. there was a place in the burbs called ALFALFA'S that had the best by far but that has been some time ago, I think it was out towards King of Prussia

  6. You can try Old Country Buffet.
