Question:

Who has the best cell phone coverage in Los Angeles?

I've been to deadcellzones.com and other sites to read reviews but the reviews for each cell provider were all pretty similar. There's a very good chance that I'll be spending most of my time over the next couple of years in southern California, specifically LA. My Verizon contract is up and I'm thinking about dumping them for someone else. My choices are AT&T wireless, T-Mobile, or even staying with Verizon. Nextel and Sprint are off the list. Both are all around horrible. Bad call quality and huge dead-air spaces in their networks. Their "chirp" feature was nice, but now it's just ghetto. Any recommendations or suggestions on the other three is appreciated. Thank you!

  1. Since you are in a very Metropolitan area the choice is up to you.  Cellphone companies put a lot of towers in busy places like LA due to the high population.  High population = more subscribers which will equal more money for them.  So the choice is yours!  T-Mobile is relatively inexpensive and AT&T has great rates on phones.  But if you want the best coverage, you can continue to pay a pretty penny for Verizon.

  2. I personally have Verizon and could not be happier. I have visited la a lot and never had any issue with service. I would stay with them in my opinion.

  3. i have T-Mobile. I got my plan from san francisco since i live there, and i use it down in LA at school. the coverage down there is way better in comparison. i get reception at more locations.

my roommate had AT&T and she couldn't even get service in our dorm room. she would get disconnected a lot as well.

    hopefully this was helpful =)
