I'm looking for help in selecting a team of 10 possible players that could challenge Tiger Woods this year in each of the major championship tournaments. They can be any player within the top 100 in World Rankings. I greatly appreciate your help. Thanks.

  1. 1. Luke donald

    2.Ernie els

    3.Phil mickelson

  2. Vijay - he has blown two tournaments this year (much to my dismay), but he has just made a swing change, his tee-to-green game has been good, his putting is suspect but he thinks he is starting to get the feel back, Vijay and his caddie need to avoid that one loose swing that costs him

Hunter Mahan - VJ's playing partner today, this kid has got game, can really go low, pretty good last year in final rounds

Woody Austin - very reliable ball striking, putting not bad either, very streaky player though

  3. Anyone with a bat and a hotel room key

  4. no chance

  5. Phil or Ernie, mind you, these predictions are coming from the Callaway-aholic.

Honestly, I think Phil is the one best poised to make a run at Tiger, a sleeper may be Adam Scott, and if Jim Furyk plays like he is capable, he could make a charge.

Stricker has been resurrecting his career a bit, and if Choi keeps hitting ball markers he could make a run.

Other than that, it would take some luck to beat Tiger!

  6. 1. Earnie Els missed the cut last week and skipped the Honda this week. Look out for him on the Masters. He contended last 2 years and he is about to break through.

    2. K.J. Choi has been a consistent player for a long time and he is due in major championships. I look for him to be good in Masters and U.S. Open. Very straight with driver and his irons are deadly.

    3. Phil Mickelson. How can you not pick the #2 player in the world. Besides Tiger, Phil can win all the majors only if he eliminates some of his "I am SO stupid" mistakes.

    4. I look for Sergio Garcia to breakthrough this year in the majors. Nobody is paying much attention to him, but he is getting his putting game back in order and gaining confidence with the short stick. Look for him to contend in all the majors this year.

    5. My dark horse pick to do well in majors this year is Woody Austin. Remember him in the PGA last year? He has the game and attitude to do well in majors.

    Good luck with your team.

  7. NOBODY at all....Tiger is on his own planet.

    1. Mickleson

    2. Vijay

    3. Stricker

  8. Phil Mickelson

    Luke Donald

  9. masters - Phil Mickelson

    The Open - K J Choi

    us open - Luke Donald

    us PGA - Tiger Woods
