  1. It should be the Chargers this year. They had the top scoring defense last year and they have so much young talent that's still developing: Shawn Merriman, Luis Castillo, Antonio Cromartie. Expect them to be on top this year.

  2. Gotta go with the Vikes. MN has a D-Line the has three ProBowlers and two more witht he potential. Safties- M Williams and the great d Sharp!! The CB are suspect, but have continued to improve and A Winfield is healthy this year. But watch for McCauley to have a come out season. LB's!! We got some LBs!! EJ Henderson, Leber & Greenway, whew! Gonna be a bad year for other teams offenses.

Then the Steelers, Chargers & Pats(they are OLD!)

  3. Vikings by a couple miles!

  4. Chargers

    Steelers

    Vikings

    Patriots

    Thats in order

  5. Maybe other than the Pats the Buccaneers are the best defense in the NFL

  6. The Steelers had the NFL's top rated defense in 2007 and because they haven't lost anyone on defense in the free agency it will be the same in 2008.

  7. It was the Pats last year but this year I'd say top five are:

    Ravens

    Vikings

    Bears

    Chargers

Raiders( If they can stop the run)

  8. Umm Titans

  9. Last year the Steelers had the #1 ranked Defense in the NFL but this year it will probably be the

    1. Vikings

    2. Chargers

    3. Steelers

    15. Patriots

  10. Chargers - w/ cromartie playing fulltime + experience, they are loaded

Vikings - Solid all around, and added a probowl DE this offseason (nobody runs on this team)

Steelers - Always solid because of their scheme. Last year had a few new pieces, add experience and a health polamalu-they are ready for a great year .

Patriots - They take a major step back imo. Lost Asante, Bruschi and Seau are getting old, same with Seymour and Harrison. They can scheme their way into success and do good in the redzone (where their speed is harder to exploit) - but they aren't a great D.

  11. Pats in 07, Chargers in 08.
