Who has the best information for a car accident that was very servere but neither party had insurance?

  1. I'm not a lawyer and don't have any "legal" advice.

    But in my experience someone is still at fault in 99% of accidents. That is usually sorted out among the insurance companies or even sometimes sued over in court.

    Since neither party had insurance, you have to take matters in your own hands and determine who is fault. Sometimes it is obvious and sometimes it's not. But in order to collect your money, you will probably have to sue in court, prove your case and hope you get a judgement. But if they didn't want insurance, they probably aren't going to have much money to pay...


  2. A lawyer in your state.  Laws vary wildly from state to state.  Neither of you has an agent, to ask state specific information.  

    So you need to get one of those free consults.

    Bottom line - someone is going to have to sue someone else to get fault determined, and try to get a judgement for damages.  Even after the judgement is obtained, you can't get blood from a stone - it's highly likely the winner won't be able to collect.
