karlovic is pretty much regarded as the best erver on the tour. his game is a bit avg but he serves his way thru matches. Ive heard Roger say it and many other guys say Ivo has the best serve. he is 6'10 - it helps.

Roger also has a great serve that isnt 2 be underestimated, he has amazing placement and aces alot despite an average speed. Id say Fed had the best serve in the top 10.

he could just serve anywhere, especially effective in the past were his T-serves and second serves. even if he missed the first shot, he can still win the point on his second serve, so to many of his biggest rivals, they were faced with a player who seemed to be serving two first serves. also his ability to ace in the biggest stages in a match is unlike anything i've ever seen; and to have agassi as an opponent and still rack up aces is something amazing. no one on tour today strikes the ball as good as agassi, but during both their peaks sampras can dominate him and everybody else with his serve.

maybe ivanisevic or becker as second.. just because they can hit any point in the box and were powerful too. becker also has the ability to ace when it mattered.

female: steffi graf

while her forehand, slice backhand and fleet athleticism were the most talked about aspects of her game.. she was a very complete player and nobody really revered her serve as much as a serena or venus williams, but it was especially effective, powerful and consistent.. and this was one of the main factors that played her to all her slam wins. it was very versatile; and case in point: the presence of the return games of hingis, seles and davenport during her era, the imminent emergence of the williams sisters.. or even the return game of evert or any stiff competition from her early career.. graf's serve endured all these generations of legends, and i hate to say this because in the "steffi or monica" campaign, i was always in the seles bandwagon, but i can't deny what her serve has done for her.. so in my opinion she has the best serve in women's tennis.

I think federer has the best serve because he knows where to place the ball. Its not all about hitting strong serves. He sets himself up to win the point with his serve.

I think Venus' serve is awesome.especially on grass.
