There's lots of good one-two punches, but I think 3 is a little harder to pick.

My pick would be: Chicago Cubs- Zambrano, Harden, and Dempster

Future pick is: San Francisco Giants- Lincecum, Cain, and Sanchez

  1. Yes my pick is the Cubs too

Zambrano is better than Sheets by a little bit.

CC Sabathia is a tiny bit better than Rich Harden (if Rich Harden could go as long as Sabathia than I would pick Harden)

Ryan Dempster in my opinion is better than Manny Parra

    In this order...

    1. Cubs (Zambrano, Harden, Dempster)

    2. Brewers (Sheets, Sabathia, Parra)

    3. Diamondbacks (Webb, Haren, Johnson)

  2. that "future pick" is next year

    we just have no offense

  3. In order.

    Cubs- Zambrano, Harden, Dempster

    Brewers- Sabathia, Sheets, Parra

    D'backs- Webb, Haren, Johnson

    Giants- Lincecum, Sanchez, Cain

    Mets- Santana, Pedro, Maine

Padres- Peavy, Young (when healthy), Banks

  4. I agree. Giants have one of the best top 3 starting pitchers. All have electric and ace-like stuff. Lincecum, Sanchez and Cain own. Now if we can just get some quality hitting to go with it.....

  5. Arizona Diamondbacks with (top 2 are the biggest Cy Young conteders this year)

    Brandon Webb

    Dan Haren

    Randy Johnson

Doug Davis has been great this year also, if it wasn't for his surgery or lack of run support right after he came back he would be in double digit wins also....Now if only Micah Owings can find himself again.....(crosses fingers)

  6. Cardinals will in a few weeks.  They have Lohse, Carpenter will be back tomorrow (July 30) and Wainright should be back soon.

And if Mulder would quit doing his Mike Hampton impressions you would have a devastating top four (I know you only wanted three, and I'm not counting on Mulder to ever be healthy again but you have to keep him on the back of your mind with how good he is when healthy.)

  7. Brewers and cubs are close but when you look at it zambrano is a little better than sheets,  C.c is better than harden and parra and dempster are close but i think parra has an edge. but lilly is better than the rest of the brewers starters

  8. I'll take Arizona

    Webb

    Haren

    Johnson

  9. It's got to be the Cubs with Zambrano, Harden and Dempster, but Lilly is a solid pitcher as well, so don't keep him out.  I think that means they have the best 5 man rotation in the NL as well.

  10. Milwaukee... Sabathia 4-0 1.82 (NL) - Sheets 10-4 3.14 - Parra 9-3 3.72        I'd say Cubs are number 1 but the Brewers are a close 2nd place.

  11. Cubs, Brewers, Dbacks in that order.
