Question:

Who has the better cars, americans vs. imports.?

i personally think the foreign countries have better cars and could take an "american muscle" car on the track any day. but thats my opinion. how bout you?

  1. Can't beat Japanese imports for cost efficiency, speed and performance. With the price of gas being what it is, muscle cars are totally out of question.

I've owned both and have had no problems out of either.  i would agree that 5-10 years ago it was hands down imports, but the newer American cars are very impressive in terms of build quality and fit/finish.  As for the track, the imports may have a slight edge in midsize sedans and compact cars, but the American sports cars (i.e. Corvette Z06, Ford GT, etc) dominate European and Japanese offerings, and for much much cheaper in the Z06's case- which owns a Porsche 911 Turbo around a track by the way (road course or a drag strip)- and the new ZR1 is bound to be Americas next Ferrari killer.
