  1. 20 miles one way

  2. From Murfreesboro Tennessee to Nashville Tennessee, the commute is usually anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 & 1/2 hours.

  3. I know somebody who drives from the High Desert (victorville, CA) to Los Angeles, CA for work everyday...they leave at 3am to avoid traffic and it is approx. a 2 1/2 hr drive.  If they left at 6:30am it would take almost 4 hours in traffic.

That is crazy to me....I've also heard that people driving in D.C. have terrible traffic.

  4. 37 miles each way now - and it takes about an hour, but I used to travel about 70 miles and it took about 3 hours (the customer moved, and I had to work at the new location for a while).  Having to drive on the world's longest parking lot, the Long Island Expressway, doesn't help.  The only reason my current commute takes as little time as it does is because I leave my house at 9 AM.  (When I was in Lincoln, NE, I worked clear on the other side of town - about 10 minutes in heavy traffic - and people thought I was crazy for working so far away.)

  5. I live about 30 min west of Houston, TX. My commute to work on average is nearly 2 hours long, and that's IF there is no bumper to bumper traffic on the two-way road that services the only entrance/exit. My way home is just as long in time.
