Obama can only say that McCain is old and republican only in the sense that they are 1 and 3 most liberal senators.

McCain can question Obama's sudden fame, inexperience and meteoric rise from nowhere. McCain was bypassed for Pres a few years ago, he has paid his dues. But Obama is a johnny come lately.

  McCain's ads will be fairer, he's only telling the unpleasant truth.

Obama wants to make history and will stop at nothing to get it, he already beat a Clinton!

As far as attacks go, McCain is much better at attacking the opponent.

Obama, on the other hand, has opted to take the high road and not resort to a direct attack on McCain.

Sticking to the issues is always better than attacking the opponent.

McCain, a few examples.  Obama has consistently talked about change from Washington, so he picks Biden who has been in the Senate longer than McCain.  Obama criticizes political families having ties to lobbiest, guess whose son is a lobbiest, Biden.  Obama criticized the Bush energy plan.  He lied and said McCain voted for it, ironically McCain voted against it while Obama voted for it.
