  1. Ray Allen hands down !

  2. I am surprised to see here the names of players who have obvious shooting flaws.  Yes, it is possible to put up big numbers when you have flawed shooting form, such as  Reggie Miller, Steve Kerr, Larry Bird and Ray Allen, all of whom use the off hand to help push the ball.  This is a shooting flaw that we shooting coaches see commonly in players of all ages.  Very, very few can become as good as those guys by shooting improperly.

Good form, meaning one-handed release and good follow through that is lifted and held, can be seen in Kobe, JJ Redick, Michael Finley, Robert Horry, Rip Hamilton and from a few years back, the Price brothers, Mark and Brent.

  3. Probably Ray Allen because not only does he have great form but his shot is extremly effective.

  4. Ray Allen, Peja, Kapono, Korver

  5. Ray Allen.

  6. strictly from a mechanics standpoint the best right now is Ray Allen...he has the best setup, form and stroke since Larry or The Pistol...

  7. Ray Allen

  8. Ray Allen, Michael Redd, Dirk Nowitzki, Peja Stojakavic, Steve Kerr. Reggie Miller.

All these guys have/had beautiful shooting forms.

ohh and I can't forget JJ Reddick, betterbasketball commercials won't ever  let me forget he is the greatest shooter in the history of bball.

  9. And what do you mean by purest? Well, Kobe Bryant has the best offensive game in the NBA. His fade-away shot is beautiful. His game is brilliant. His shooting form is outstanding -- probably the best. =)

  10. jason kapono from the toronto raptors. back-to-back 3 point champion, and thats why he goes on the court, is to shoot lights out.

  11. im not only saying this cuz he is my fav player, but you gotta admit, kobe has a pretty sweet jumper.

also, guys like ray allen is smooth, and even d-wade has a nice looking shot.

  12. CP3 baby that **** is beautiful and love the pic and screename my ***** thats right go saints and lsu

  13. I would say Ray Allen right now. Either Larry Bird, Steve Kerr, or Reggie Miller is the best of all time.

  14. For sure, JJ Redick, and Peja. They all have extremely quick release. They are square and in perfect balance.   He's mocked and hated here but JJ Reddick has pure form.

As far as classic shooting form, Allen isn't textbook. His left hand is too far on top of the ball and his right elbow is out wide. I don't think it's that pure (although it is so amazingly *fast* getting out of his hands it's amazing) from a visual standpoint, although you can't argue with the results.

Reggie Miller LOL yeah he was Effective but had horrific form Ive never seen copied.

But with that said the way Allen and Miller shoot allows a clear view of their target which would otherwise be partially blocked. Keeping your elbows in tucked for shooting is overrated

  15. micheal finley and ray allen beautiful follow through by finley

  16. probably kobe ..even in hard situations he finds a way to make it so simple ....just like a rainbow

  17. Ray Allen

    He's like textbook stuff

  18. Kobe shot is incredibly efficient, with no wasted motion, but not very "pure". He strokes a ton, but the ball actually comes out kinda flat, definitely not a "rainbow".

Peja, Pierce, Kapono, and Redd are pure strokers.

Some people make their shot work for them, but there is a perfect jump shot form, and these guys have it.

  19. Kapano, Ray Allen, Peja all have great form and are great shooters.

  20. Kobe,   but reggie miller had a sweet stroke

  21. Anthony Parker's shot is really good...Kopono and DIrk have really good motion as well

  22. For His Hight And His Ability To Score Form Any Point he Choses I Would Have To Say Dirk Nowitzki  And his Form Is Just Sweet
