being from the South, I've been to numerous SEC games.  The worst fans within the SEC at the stadium is by far LSU.  On the street, at work, and everyday conversation, Alabama fans are just so "oh yeah, well, when the Bear was here......" (insert narrow minded, over-exaggerated comment of your choosing).  

side note:  Penn State has the best fans I've ever witnessed.  I'm envious of their hospitality and enthusiasm for their team.

Kansas State goons. Most are so stupid, their care taker at the jail or homeless shelter has to advise them that a football game is in progress.

Then when Kansas State loses, which is often, they whine constantly about it. It is always somebody else's fault that K-State lost.

Everyone has rude and obnoxious fans. I have had this discussion a number of times and it really just depends on your individual experiences. If you had a bunch of Alabama frat boys throw a few beer bottles at you, if you got your couch burned by some WVU fans, or maybe you just got knocked out for talking c**p to an Oklahoma fan, your opinion will be slightly skewed. I was told by a GT fan last year that I was the first UGA fan that he ever enjoyed sitting next to. Apparently there are some obnoxious Georgia fans out there too. I had not noticed.

LSU fans do seem to dress the most obnoxiously though, but hey, that's because they are all g*y... Just kidding. Only one more night without college football...

I've traveled to games all over the country. Big 12 have the best fans - great hospitality even if you don't like the programs. SEC far and away are the most rude and obnoxious.

Although the writer above is pretty much right on too - whichever team is losing.

By far its West Virginia, one game against Miami, a player broke his leg, the students stop the ambulance and started to bounce the ambulance

and cause the ambulance to tip over, Im a WVU fan all the way ,but its low class criminal type behavior that comes from our students thats giving our football program a blackeye. Our football team I ask that the fans around the college football world, please base your respect on their recent success and not by thier student representation, I can assure you fans outside the students as well the football team , does not condone the actions our students at WVU  football games, nor are we in anyway or fashion proud to be crowned the worst fans in college football, the University has gone to great lengths to address this issue.

The worst fans in college football is WVU my team, and Im very ashamed of that title, it greatly undermines the kids on the football team accomplishments. Now WVU fans outside the student body shows a bit more respect and more respectfull to other programs and their fans.
