I know that the UK has an old reputation for having less than the best cuisine, but with all the bad restaurants like Applebees, and Chili's etc. etc. in the USA dominating the fast food industry, I'd have to go with the USA having the worst cuisine.

  1. You've never been to the UK or Australia. They have just as many unhealthy options there. h**l, the most popular food there is fish and chips and fried chicken? How unhealthy is that? Blame the eating habits and lack of exercise, not the food options.

I thought American food swept the world and made cuisine more palatable. However, that hasn't changed in the UK or Australia. Go to a supermarket off the plane and you will see that you are in a whole different world. Just imagine if you worked as a chef at a food company and your boss told you to only make the blandest recipes. It's a nightmare. If you want to be a contrary food snob, go ahead and say you like the food there. However, the food there was so bad it was almost undeniable. People don't like to use spices there. They don't know how to cook.

Whereas Americans shun Indian food, you will find that the English and Aussies LOVE it. The spices are just incredible to them. They don't know any better.

  2. I think we're almost completely losing the USA to fast food, so yes I would have to agree with you. When you drive out, you don't see very many GREAT restaurants anymore. You see the golden arches of McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Arby's, and Sonic's. Half of the restaurants we think are good don't even prepare their food fresh.

  3. The UK, they really don't know how to do anything really good with beef.

  4. UK

  5. As a vegetarian I think that the USA has less options for you than the UK

  6. I never knew the UK had any real food of their own, except copies of ours. I think American food is disgusting and has no flavor. It's just meat, salt, grease, and fries. So I'd say neither. Go for italian, mexican, and asian food they are creative and have so many different things to choose from.
