I am interested in touring Prague, Belgium, Salzburg, and Germany primarily sometime next year. I would like to do it the easy way and find a bus or service that goes to all these places. Can anyone recommend any travel agency or anything else they know of? Thank you.

  1. I did a Contiki tour in 2000 which was absolutely phenomenal.  I can't say enough nice things about Contiki and, assuming you're 35 or younger, you should definitely check out their tours.

Great times and a very efficient way to hit several countries in a short period of time.

  2. Solid advice in the answers above... Maybe you could start by drafting a plan on where do you want to go, for how long, and in which order (e.g. fly in to Prague, spend a week there, continue to Salzburg in Austria to spend x days there before travelling to Munich in Germany and continue to...).

Here is why: Planning the trip in advance could save you some money as e.g. when you book a flight with a low-cost carrier like SkyEurope, Ryanair or EasyJet (that you will find via the SkyScanner) a few months in advance, the ticket could cost you even less than a bus or train ticket. Personally, I would prefer France (whether Paris or other regions) or Netherlands over Belgium...

Should you decide not to go for the Contiki tours and make up a plan by yourself, drop me a message if I can help you with finding the travel connections.

  3. Prague is lovely.....Belgium is nice. I never got to Austria or Germany ( check out Italy or France..I don;t think you could be disappointed with either!)

Maybe eurolines is the best option for independent travel.

Trains are probalby more used...more pricey ( espcially in the areas you are going) but they are faster and effiecient.

You can try things like busabout, where they have a set route and you get on and off  where you want anywhere on the route( you organise your own accommodation) ..this may give you more flexibility.

Some flights can be very cheap.....check out skyscanner which has most of the cheapest airlines in europe ( its international but europe is particualrly well covered). You might find the odd flight can help.

  4. I have been there

  5. There are lots of bus tours in Europe. If you are under age 35 check out Contiki.com  This would be better than a bus load of seniors if your young. I've known a few people who went and had a blast.

Atlastravelweb.com   has lot's of companies listed.

    Have fun! Europe is fabulous.

  6. trains are the way my family has traveled through europe. I would say if your going for the first time, don't go to germany. go to france or italy or spain. The people that i know that have traveled to germany were not too pleased.
