Who has worked in Inuvik? Trucking? Is it worth it?

My husband is looking into working in Inuvik and Tuktyaktuk as a truck driver for Allen Services and Gruber Transport. Has anyone done this, and is it worth it to be away from your family for six odd months? Any info appreciated. Thanks so much, Samlet

It could pay very very well.  Take an interview and find out.

It would depend on the pay.  My husband used to be gone for 3 or 4 months at a time and the money made it well worth it.  He worked for a company that sounds similar to what you are describing.
