He said that he doesn't like hockey the other week, and now he backtracks and says that he just doesn't like watching hockey on tv, but likes watching it live. Also he said that he said it just to be funny. Such a liar.

  1. Tiger Woods doesn't care what you think . . . get a life.

  2. I think it is stretching matters to say Tiger lied.  I thought he attempted to explain his position on the matter.  I love to watch hockey in person but television doesn't do hockey justice.  The men behind the cameras try to follow the puck but the action may be somewhere else on the ice with someone getting their clocked clean by one heck of a 'check.'

  3. tiger is being tiger

  4. Who really cares. Hockey sucks. Baseball sucks. The NBA sucks. Tiger can say what he wants, he is THE MAN.

  5. hockey on TV sucks, so does Baseball on TV. only sports i can really stand watching on TV is golf, basketball, and football.

  6. I have never liked Tiger Woods.

  7. He didn't lie.  He never said he didn't like hockey, he said no one watches it.  And he is right.  Hockey ratings are abysmal.  Professional poker gets more viewers.

The NHL had to go to some obscure cable channel to find someone to broadcast their games.  That alone says it all.  I mean come on, the Versus channel?  That's one step below Lifetime.

  8. It's the same rhetoric you see everywhere else.  Back-tracking is what all the best pro athletes do.  Of course, everyone's gonna forgive him or not even give a S**t, so........

  9. WOW! You are So worried about Tiger Woods it makes me wonder. May be you need that tiger wood action you haven't been getting lately :)

  10. What I hate is the fact that people still cant get over the fact that Tiger dosnt like hockey.  Who gives a **** about how Tiger feels about hockey.  Are hockey fans so insecure that they need validation from a professional Golfer to feel that their sport is relevant?  This is my opinion, but hockey is brutally boring to watch on TV and in person (and yes, ive been to plenty of hockey games, and atempted to watch it on TV.)  It sucks, plain and simple.  Thats my opinion.  There are tons of people on here that say that golf is no fun to watch on TV, and that is thier opinion, and they have their right to it.  Thing is, as a golf fan, your opinion is irrelevant to me.  Your thoughts on the issue has no bearing on what I am or am not going to watch, and I dont stay up late at night trying to figure out how I am going to tear into people that dont like it.  Tiger, just like every other person in this world, has his likes and dis-likes, and Hockey happenes to be one of his dis-likes.  Get over it already.

  11. Tiger woods can say whatever he wants. He is by far the greatest golfer to ever walk this earth and he is not concerned about what people think of him.

  12. Tiger is a stuck-up prick.

  13. I dont think Hockey fans would be so sensitive over his comments if they didnt know there was some truth to them.  Hockey ratings ARE way down.  Look at the numbers.  If you like hockey, why care what he says?!  I have to hear people talk about how boring golf is to watch on TV.  Do you think I give one da*n about what they say?!!

  14. Drunk in PA said it best, he didn't lie, he said no one watches it, and the NHL will acknowledge that, they desperately need more viewers, they almost folded during the strike a few years ago.

I live in Detroit, so don't get me wrong, hockey is very popular around here, but golf fans and hockey fans are typically a different breed, so in the end, Tiger can say whatever he wants and he will remain the most popular athlete in the world and Hockey will remain the #6 or #7 sport (in viewership).

  15. is that really something to get mad at?

  16. i don't like ice hockey too.only America plays it.

  17. who cares?

  18. Dumb question...this is a dead issue. Hockey season is finally over....most people didn't care about it. Hockey shot itself in the foot years ago with the strike. Move on.
