Interstate driving is the easiest kind of driving: just point the car and go, and keep an eye out for stupid drivers.

If that's too boring for you, try Interstate 278 through Brooklyn and Queens, better known as the Gowanus Expressway/Brooklyn-Queens Expressway/Connecting Highway. It runs from grade level, to elevated highway, then 3 or 4 lanes lead to an expensive toll tunnel no one uses and only 2 continue as I278 )where the Gowanus ends and splits betweek the Battery Tunnel and the Brooklyn Queens Expwy) to shaft, to promenade, back to shaft, back to elevated (the Connecting Highway portion), over a bridge (Kosciousko), and grade again before the Triboro Bridge, where it then goes through the Bronx as the Bruckner Expwy where its just as bad. Plus all the contruction, potholes, etc etc.

It's a necessity sometimes if you're trying to get somewhere, but I prefer the scenic routes myself.  I like to see the small towns.

i love it. Also the interstate highway system is one of the greatest things to happen in this country. It allowed freedom of movement and goods like never before.

I love driving in general.  It's one of the few things in life that I'm actually good at.  I just wish gas wern't so f'ing expensive.

actually I prefer highway driving over local back streets. I guess it what you get used to as I do mostly highway driving. Then again I love to drive.

I much prefer the interstates and main highways to the side streets! The speeds are higher and there are few, if any, traffic signals! This allows me to get to my destination much faster and more efficiently!

Yup. Thats me.   I take the back roads all the time or I have someone drive me there just because highways freak me out.

If they are straight with nothing to look at(like NJ Turnpike), yeah I can`t stand that road. Pa. Turnpike has much nicer scenery and isn`t straight.
