  1. We had the VOIP phones through At&t which are exactly the same thing as Vonage just with a differnet name on them. That being said, if you are considering switching from a landline to VOIP phones, DO IT! I have had these phones for three years now and they are great. They are much cheaper than our previous phones, and call quality is great. I often travel for business around the world and my wife can always call me at a low rate. They are very reliable, and only go out when our internet goes out obviously, which in our case isn't very much. And as long as you have a cell phone for backup, what's the worry? Save money!

  2. We've had it for over a 2 years and it's pretty darn good.  So far no problems.  I'm glad we have it because my grand twins (3 years old) will call and just chatter away.  Half the time I have no idea what they are saying.  My grand daughter called me at 3 a.m. one morning (it was midnight where she lives).  She had woken up and wanted to talk to grandpa, so she hit the speed dial.  My wife calls her widowed mom at LEAST once an evening, along with her sister.  If my youngest doesn't talk to his momma once a day on the phone, he and she are IM'n on MSN!  When my momma was alive, I'd call her every Sunday evening (aren't a good southern son?) and we'd talk for an hour or more as if we were sittin' 'round her living room.  Can you imagine our phone bill if we were still with Verizon on a land line? WOOOEEE!

As long as our computer is up, we have the land line. Good bye ATT&T, VERIZON etc, etc, etc.

  3. vonage sucks, because they use up your internet connection to give you phone service, and then they charge you for it.  The are just supplying you with a phone number and features.  their customer service sucks, and when you try to call them if you have phone issues, they will tell you to call your internet service provider, because they will blame it on them.  If you have a good solid fast internet connection, go with them. If not, go somewhere else.
