How do I become one but only for a little bit?

Here's one I know of a spell. My nanna taught me ^.^

You need: Salt, papya or some exotic fruit, four black candles (but this depends on the number of corners in your bathtub) and raw clams and one large shell that can hold items and a large cloth that you can wrap yourself in that you have sewn things that remind you of the ocean that you found on the shore of water on.

Whatcha do: First, Bake the clams in salt water. Then place the clams in the large shell and place them on the side of the bathtub so you can reach them. Then, place the papya or other exotic fruit in the hot salt water you boiled the clams in. Hide the fruit somewhere you walk past every day. THEN. Go to the bath, fill it half-way full with water. Take the salt and hold your legs up and scrub your legs with the salt. after doing so, eat the clams, injesting the fruits of the ocean. AFTER THIS light the black candles and chant as you soak in the water:

"dearest sea, my one true home,

give me gills and change my bones

Dearest sea, my one true lover

give my legs scales that cover

Merperson I shall be,

In the sea that calls to me."

After soaking in the water for ten minutes (at least) continuously reciting the verse, step out and wrap yourself in the cloth like you would a bath towel then get the papya and hide it in a place you WALK BY every day. As the papya rots, your legs will be getting ready to become a tail. when the papya becomes mushy you may step into the water source and dive in. You will be a mermaid for at least two hours... but the time really depends on how long you let the papya or exotic fruit rot. The longer it rots and the longer you stay away from a water- source like the ocean or a lake the longer you will be a mermaid in the water.

So far as anyone has ever actually said in folklore, one must be born a mermaid in order to exist as one. The exception to this are the gods who turned the citizens of Delphi into what we now call dolphins (as the Delphians fled from an invading military force). It's also said that the inhabitants of Atlantis were turned into half-fish, but this was not said until long after Atlantis was lost.

Mermaids were popularized in the middle ages because sailors were alone at sea for many months at a time. People could believe that they could withstand this by having a woman who was half-fish.

As for whether or not I believe in mermaids, I can firmly believe that there are lots of things called mermaids, but that nobody has ever seen one. Dolphins, manatees, and even human beings have all been called merfolk, but if mermaids exist, then they are certainly as elusive as bigfoot, Nessie, and other beings that nobody has ever caught.

This doesn't mean that people can't still believe in them, but what it does mean is that nobody has seen one. And yet, the power of imagination can turn any of us into whatever we desire, even if only for a moment. It takes imagination to create anything that others haven't seen before. I would suggest that if you want to become a mermaid, then be one.

Just remember that, like dophins, mermaids must breathe air from time to time. Be safe.

hmm I kind of do, I have read few articles online that say that some fossils have been found.... I have heard about it in some places where I have traveled too.... they might not be as human as portrayed in animations and books, but something that look like that.

When you become a mermaid you have the ability to hide it and appear human when you need to.  The spell is reversible, but there is really no reason to undo it because you're not stuck always having flippers.

Honey, I am sorry but mermaids are just fantasy.  But if you find a really good book about mermaids and read the story you can put yourself in it and it will be like you are a mermaid for a little while.   Have fun!

Well idk if they are real....yet.  Scientist always want to create new species so they might get a woman pregnant with implanting fish genetics or sperm into her.  I wouldn't want to be that women. Anyways they might become real if scientists succeed...good luck!
