Who here has a Moss ball which grew a baby?

Question

I have a moss ball which was 2 inches but fell apart due from stress of being in the mail dry.

It just split into 5 pieces on its own after being in the water for 1 hour!

So now I have little baby ones and they are not round yet.

I'm getting another one and I will wrap it in string so it can't fall apart. I want to know how big a Moss ball has to get when it grows a lump on it which is a baby moss ball?

Marimo ball, Moss ball, Algae ball,
