  1. I've been to the Olive Garden many times. It's a nice, family style Italian restaurant.

The only thing they bring you when you're seated is water. They do not automatically  bring you salad and bread sticks. That comes after you've ordered and then it is 'unlimited', as long as you ordered an entree. They'll bring you as much as you want.

As with anyplace, the service varies depending on your server. But most generally it is good service. Olive Garden is a busy restaurant... if the servers don't give good service, they're not there very long. It's not good for business.

Have a nice time with your mom... it's nice you're taking her out.

  2. umm.. yeah

ahaha its kind of funny how you ask about this resteraunt

    but yeah its very yummy

    try the raviolis

    Amazing!

  3. I took my mom there today for Mother's Day.

It depends on the people there, whether or not they treat you well. In my experience this morning, the hostess was polite but the waitress was not exactly a ray of sunshine, in fact she seemed bothered by the fact she was even working.

The salad and breadsticks are unlimited and come with your meal, unless you would order something like a pizza. Their food is VERY good. I've never had a bad meal there.. but as with any restaurant, service is based on the people working there at the time you visit. Sometimes it'll be good, sometimes it'll be awful.

Enjoy the Olive Garden! I recommend the Chicken Alfredo!!!

Oooh and if you don't want salad, you can choose a soup.

  4. Yeah Ive been there - I hate the olive garden

they are the Burger King of Italian Food

    - If you like generic food, are not much of a critic,

    and don't have high expectations

then by all means go there

  5. I have and it has really good lasaniga and breadsticks.

  6. If you want to eat in an Italian restaurant, the LAST place you want is Olive Garden -- famous for bread and lettuce!

. . . and no, nothing is free there!

  7. I have. Once you order, they'll give you salad and break, and don't forget, it's unlimited!

  8. I have been to the Olive Garden on three occasions.  I went during a busy time of day and found myself in for a long wait in a crowded waiting area, and then had a long wait before I was served.  You have all the salad and breadsticks you can eat.  I personally didn't have a very good experience.  I got a vegetable pasta dish , the pasta was undercooked and the veggies nearly raw, I couldn't eat it.  I told the waitress and she asked if I wanted to order another dish.  I asked if I'd have to pay for it, and she said yes.  I said no, and ate salad and breadsticks.  When I left, they asked how my meal was, I told them it was inedible and raw and all they said was they were sorry and would tell the chef about it.  If they had been a good restaurant, they would have replaced it with another dish at no extra cost, or even given me a different meal free.  But they didn't.  I know other people have eaten there and loved it, but my experience kept me from going back.  Don't let this stop you from going.  If you have a meal come to you that isn't cooked enough, call a waitress over and tell her to take it back, as it isn't cooked properly, and to bring you one that is.  You shouldn't have a problem , but I would suggest going slightly before or after the normal meal time rush.  Especially if you have other things planned.  As I found the service to be slow.  The less rushed they are , the better service you'll get.

  9. they give u a salad w/ vinegrette dressing also as many bread sticks as you like it's a pretty nice place the waiters are terrible so i guess it's pretty ok
