  1. omg i can't wait....................i am so excited!!! should be a very interesting day!!! make sure you record it!! :D or take a day off so you can watch it! :)

  2. i have 20-21-22...off this week to study the form...

then i have 27-28-29....off to enjoy my breeders' cup weekend......

next year...the races will be at santa anita....my home track..

the flag is up....get all you can on...dylan thomas in the turf.....

  3. We are all excited. Make sure you all look out for Old Man Buck in the Juvenile race. He will be long odds and get a new and better jockey (Bejarano) . This guy can ride.

Most of my friends call this jockey Stinkarano instead of Bejarano. He smelled up an airplane one time and got into a fight with a guy about it.

And almost forgot, Old Man Buck will race with blinkers on for the first time ! Go to the ATM machine and empty your account and then go to the window and bet him in the trifecta !

  4. I can't wait and seriously the best excuse to call in sick is to say you have diarrhea - no one will ever want to take that subject any further and if they do, then they are sick b******s :-)

The Classic should be an awesome race. Can't remember the last time this many 3 year olds stuck around for this long in the year, especially ones that ran in the KY derby.

If you're a betting gal or guy - note that Momouth Park is a very short racetrack with tight turns and tends to favor speed, but I'm sure they'll go all out to make the track a fair playing ground not to ruin their chances at hosting other BC events.

So just to recap: Diarrhea :-)

  5. I am so excited! I can't wait to see all of the best horses from around the world! Dylan Thomas is supposedly going to the B.C. Turf. I can't wait for that! And the showdown between Street Sense and Curlin! This is a tough one to bet on. I love them both! It seems like this year, though, most of the horses have injuries or skipping the B.C.! Oh well, Go Street Sense! Tiago, too!

  6. I am excited.  I've never missed watching the Breeders Cup.  Especially since I work with race horses.  I'll probably watch the Breeders Cup from Hawthorne Race Course as I work there.  I am a little disappointed they split the races to make a two day event instead of the traditional one day event.  But I am definately looking forward to the Breeder's Cup.

  7. Breeder's Cup is always exciting..........This year the Classic only has 8 going..........I think it's going to come down to Curlin and Lawyer Ron.............Lawyer Ron doesn't like a mile and a quarter but he's in top form now and only lost his last race to Curlin by a drop...............Curlin is an awesome horse with huge strides and can eat ground fast and is also in top form...........The only longshot with a chance is George Washington............He might be one to watch or use in exotic wagering............Can't wait to see how Nashoba's Key runs without the bute............Bute can't be used outside of Calif. and this is the first time she'll run without it..........She should devour the field but that bute question says don't put all your eggs in her basket.........Also looking to see what happens with Descreet Cat.........He finished 3rd in his last outing after a long layoff due to illness...........If he comes back to himself he'll run away from the rest of the pack but it's a question mark.............Hope you take the advice of others and call in sick that day...........Breeder's Cup happens once a year and you should see it as it happens to really enjoy it........I'm not a betting gal but I do enjoy the races and seeing really good thoroughbreds run................CAT  UPDATE:  My apologies, I had meant to say George Washington in the classic as the longshot possibility but I've got Louis Michael on the brain......He's another one with a good chance in his race supposedly at decent odds..........Again, I apologize for the error........CAT

  8. I think you should call in sick.

Say you've got the stomach flu.

I'm gonna tell my work I've got a doctor's appointment Friday around post time for the first set of races!

I can't wait to start handicapping!

My good friend like the horse "Shaggy Mane" in the filly and mare sprint. He's said the odds are like 20-1

That might be a good tip for you, good luck!

  9. I've just started paying some attention to horse racing over the past couple of months and I think I'll try to tune in for some or all of it for the first time I can remember.

  10. 5 of us from work fly out to Vegas Friday morning to play the horses for the weekend. We do this every year.

    VEGAS BABY!
