I am,

I think it's a lil unfair that China won so many gold with the underweight peeps (for example weight lifting under 70 KG)

you basically have to weigh less than something like 130 pounds even if you're all muscles

I'm not bitter, and to be honest everyone knows the Chinese gymnasts girls are under 16

and I'm a Chinese American (my parents were Taiwanese)

  1. You didnt win the gold but you did win the Gold medals on whining or sore losing.

Not everyone agrees those girls are under 16.  As a Chinese America, you should know that Asian girls do not mature like Americans, esp the ones there in Asia.  There is no proof and your simple mind is easily twisted by NBC commentators.  IOC opened another investigation and closed it within hours on the same day just to shut up the whining sore losers.

  2. i really dont care

if the athletes  trained for it, then they deserve it

  3. not me.. I believe the overall medals are better because it shows all the medals we got. If the Olympics was all about the gold, it would just be gold.

  4. so what they won like 2 gold on girl gymnastic.?

    thats still 49 gold.

  5. Yeah you didn't win the most golds in the Summer Olympics but combined with the Winter Olympics, your country kicks their *** lol.

  6. Not me that's for sure.

  7. Yet you don't think it's unfair that the US use professional NBA players for Olympics basketball?  Most of the competition are amateur athletes.  And what about sending people to Jamaica and bringing their talent over to compete in track?  China would be the laughing stock of the world if they fielded a Jamaican wearing a chinese flag.

  8. Not really.  I think in the US we aren't as concerned with that these days.  Olympic dominance got boring long ago.  Yawn.

However I am pissed when we lose in sports that I like.  I could care less if we lost in ping pong.  But I really would have been pissed if we lost in basketball , and I'm upset about losing in baseball.  The other sports just don't excite me in any way.  How could I have American Pride in badmitten.  I think its a weenie sport.

  9. *rolls eyes* thats American thinking for you, jealous/angry/annoyed that they weren't the best.

honestly, China has millions and millions of people, way more than any country which means they have a ton more talent to choose from. get over it, American's weren't the best in these Olympics. be proud that your country have won medals unlike other countries who have not won any at all.

  10. who even cares?

  11. Add in that  China won 8 out of 12 possible medals in table tennis (ping pong) ... that's impressive ... next time quarter bounce should be included .... and strip poker

  12. Well America and a*****e both start with A.

  13. Do you think it is also a coincidence that Cheating starts with C, and so does Chinese? I don't think so.

C if for cheaters, that's good enough for me,

C is for Chinese, that fits them to a T,

C is for Cheaters. that's good enough for me,

Oh, Cheaters and Chinese starts with C.

  14. I'm not at all.  Very proud of all the USA medal winners and all our athletes who represented us so well.  I loved every minute of it!!  ;D

  15. I agree. We have the best athletes in the world and should have dominated like we use to in the 70's and 80's even before professional athletes were allowed to participate.

  16. Well, yeah, it's a disappointment, especially when it's rubbed in our faces when we thought it was to be a friendly affair.  But those of us who remember the Olympics prior to the 80's (we boycotted Moscow '80 over Afghanistan and they returned the favor in '84), remember that the US was NEVER favored against the machinery of the East Bloc.  So, medal count is important to Americans of a previous generation, like myself, because the Cold War was fought at the Olympics every four years. It was David and Goliath - the free West versus the professional machinery of the Soviet Bloc. We, the West, had little chance against nations that made their Olympic Athletes de facto professionals and pioneered steroids. Since 1992, the US has always come out on top. Many of us are not comfortable with that and see in the PRC another monolith like the Soviet machinery of the Seventies.
